We haven’t really heard much of a new peep from Echo Park musician and producer Crywolf since his Skeletons EP last year, and we’re definitely hungering for some of his heart crushing, breathtaking music. Though we’ll have to continue waiting, we’re more than grateful that LA production prodigy AWAY has brought Quantum Immortality back with a profoundly stirring, darkly atmospheric new remix. The glitchy haunting, pensive brooding remix is a potent mixture of towering progressions and heart stopping drops. Grand and cinematic, AWAY’s remix leaves us wondering… is there a chance AWAY and Crywolf might come together for an official collaboration soon? Their styles meld together so seamlessly on this melancholic future bass and melodic trap remix.

AWAY weaves a web of dark sensuous entrapment on the Los Angeles production duo’s new single Honest To Gød, featuring ethereal gliding vocals by LA’s Charity. It’s a poignant haunting, moody bristling vocal bass and future trap beauty that incorporates What So Not-like swervy texture and ECHOS-like fervently brooding chillstep. And it might boast the most gut wrenching lyrics we’ve encountered in a long time in the form of “Honest to God, I never loved you like I said.” The magnificent track is out now via Lowly Palace, and it’s definitely one of our new favorites.

Call me hipster, but I happen to love owls. Two owls are even better than one, as demonstrated by this Los Angeles electronic duo who’ve already thrilled us with their remixes in the past. AWAY’s Sleepwalker, which features singer songwriter and actress London Thor on enthralling vocals, gets a dark cinematic, heavy jolting trap and dubstep workover under TWO OWLS’ wings. Their remix is a high voltage, gut punching affair, and it’s a heckuva joyride. Grab the track from Apple, here.

We’ve been familiar with Los Angeles bred producer AWAY for well over a year, due to his brilliant remixes of tracks we love like THEY.’s Motley Crue, Kiiara’s Feels, and Skott’s Porcelain. He’s just as enthralling on his debut original, Sleepwalker, which features breathy captivating vocals by singer songwriter and actress London Thor. Sleepwalker is a bittersweet heartrender that melds prickly trap with dense riveting future bass. The somber elegy is a hard hitting beauty that punctures deep into the heart. Sleepwalker is a free download, here.

Fresh off of enrapturing us with a sensational remix of Skott’s Porcelain comes a face melting new remix from Los Angeles’ AWAY. There’s really no easy way to put this. AWAY has given psych pop darling BØRNS’s American Money a jaw dropping edit that might keep your pulse rate heightened for the rest of the night. Good luck trying to sleep soon after listening to this sludgy dark, savage trembling remix. The gratifying future bass and trap remix is cinematic haunting. At the rate AWAY is going, he might be my favorite future bass artist of the moment and for much time to come.

Skott’s Porcelain is one of the stand out debut singles of the year, an endlessly enchanting and intimately endearing folk pop beauty from a fascinating new artist who grew up in a small forest town commune run by ‘outkast’ bohemian musicians. Los Angeles’ AWAY gives us a stunning official remix of the song that really takes advantage of the original’s beauty. The producer’s Porcelain is a ravishing future beats and melodic bass number that skitters, crackles, and seethes ominously and bewitchingly. Its pure cinematic brilliance is so riveting, it instantaneously transports you deep into Porcelain’s shadowy forest leaving no room for escape from its rich intensive melodrama. The dark melancholic spell of a remix is out now on iTunes.

Kiiara’s aptly Feels is one of the bests songs that surfaced in 2015, and it spawned many a remix after moving countless other musicians and producers with its effervescent electronic pop. Los Angeles’ AWAY is the latest artist to present us with a sensational edit of the song. These “feels” take on some grand intensity on AWAY’s atmospheric and pensive future bass remix. We’re brought to the precipice of a magnificent cliff by the dramatic interpretation, its skittering moodiness rather ominous and darkly nebulous. It feels as if something portentous abounds. The air is heavy and a massive storm about to break. And we’re right there in the center of it.
