If you happened to miss my share of DBFC’s Autonomic last month, today’s your lucky day, because the new video the Anglo-French collective just dropped affords us a much necessary re-visit of the song. Autonomic, by definition, refers to the involuntary or the unconscious, and there’s certainly no controlling how much I adore this hypnotic dance smash which channels groovy acidic hints of LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, Jagwar Ma, and Kraftwerk, all at once. The juicy dance track is out now on Different Recordings. Its video’s assorted random visuals combine with the song’s effects to leave me in a blissed out daze.

Autonomic, by definition, refers to the involuntary or unconscious, and my love of DBFC’s new song of the same name is undeniably out of my control. The Anglo-French collective, who describe themselves as a club and not a band, deliver hypnotic dance brilliance on Autonomic, a funky dance punk and psychedelic electronic dazzler with hints of LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, Jagwar Ma, and Kraftwerk all rolled up in one. The exhilarating single is out now on Different Recordings. It’ll get you feverishly moving and grooving. If you’re in the UK or Europe, you can move and groove to them live as they’re heading out on selected dates May through July, including stops at Art Rock Festival, The Great Escape, Sakifo Festival, Rain Forest Festival, and Paleo Festival.
