Bazzi was already a pretty big deal when we first picked up on the R&B soul and hip hop artist earlier this year, but just as we expected, we’re seeing the artist’s name a whole lot more lately. It seems, some of our favorite electronic producers have fallen for his music, too. Remixes of Bazzi tracks are on the rise, and as it turns out, his irresistible songs lend themselves well to dexterous re-works. Just listen to Electric Mantis’ captivating take on Bazzi’s Mine, a celestial twinkling, ethereal flickering beauty of a remix. The producer from Alaska takes my breath away with his intoxicating chord progressions and emphatic rumbling bass on the brilliant future trap and ambient bass edit. Stream/download the track, here.

We haven’t really heard much of a new peep from Echo Park musician and producer Crywolf since his Skeletons EP last year, and we’re definitely hungering for some of his heart crushing, breathtaking music. Though we’ll have to continue waiting, we’re more than grateful that LA production prodigy AWAY has brought Quantum Immortality back with a profoundly stirring, darkly atmospheric new remix. The glitchy haunting, pensive brooding remix is a potent mixture of towering progressions and heart stopping drops. Grand and cinematic, AWAY’s remix leaves us wondering… is there a chance AWAY and Crywolf might come together for an official collaboration soon? Their styles meld together so seamlessly on this melancholic future bass and melodic trap remix.

Parisian producer The Last Port pulls at our hearts with a beautiful piece named Alone featuring London’s Ema on vocals. Though the song has been out for awhile, it seems to be making some fresh rounds in the buzz circles these days. We’re grateful it’s placed the atmospheric future bass and chill trap song on our radar. Though celestial, Alone’s stirring soundscape also feels intimate and humbling. Alone is a free download, here.
