Haulm’s six track EP Stay For Me has been out for a moment, but that in no way means we should let EP track Clean slip by. The Brooklyn based project, a collaboration between vocalist/composer JT Norton and electronic producer Reed Kackley (BAILE), entice and enchant with their chiffon vocals and an ethereal trickling, misty burbling soundscape on Clean. Their downtempo electronica and wispy light vocals remind me of Daniel Woolhouse’s early music as Deptford Goth, but embedded in a nebulous haunting, atmospheric skimming sonic environment akin to some of John Hopkins or even Bonobo’s more chill and ambient constructions. Haulm’s Stay For Me EP can be streamed in full on Soundcloud, here.

A graceful journey of an evocative electronic aria has been presented to us by Nemea, the very same Austrian producer who gave us opulent deep dance single Choice last month. Home ebbs and swells beautifully, like an ocean reflecting the moon and the stars on its dark reflective surface. Its lusciously refined vocals are turned in by a chanteuse named Lylli, who adds another level of elegance and mesmeric appeal to Nemea’s celestial opus. Home brims with sorrow and longing. It’s the final song on Nemea’s new EP, Tides, out now and available, here.

A meditative state of mind washes over me as we dive into the latest from UK producer Favela. Nevermore My Temples Leave’s gently affecting indie electronica re-introduces us to the gifted musician’s pensive and introspective soundscapes. The song’s supple acoustics and atmospheric billowing synths combine for an effect both panoramic sprawling and tenderly intimate. Nevermore My Temples Leave, which Favela wrote, produced, and mixed, is available via iTunes, here.

Deep house meets gossamer enchanting pop on dreamy ticking Far Away Place, a new single from Portuguese production project Xinobi that features Margarida Falcão from Vaarwell on sensational vocals. Chill disco beats endow this atmospheric entrancing beauty which Xinobi describes as: “A song about a secret place where we celebrate life. Where love is the key. Where Trump’s not on the guest list.” Far Away Place is a sublime escape. It rescues us and takes us to a sonic utopia. The single is out now on Discotexas. Snag it from major retailers, here.
