Anna of the North has long proven themselves the crème de la crème when it comes to icy ethereal synthpop. The Norwegian duo has finally released their debut album Lovers, brimming with tender stirring gems we’ve been eagerly sharing with you all. Also on Lovers is this fine new tune, Friends, a diaphanous gliding, pensive floating cut that reminds me of WET, but with Anna of the North’s trademark fleecy lightness. Make sure you check out Anna of the North’s Lovers, available from major retailers, here.

Icy crystalline enchantment abounds yet again as Norwegian synthpop duo Anna of the North continues to enamor with new single Money. The ever buzzing pair is gearing up to drop their highly anticipated full length, Lovers, next month, but before that happens, they’d like to illuminate the pitfalls of materialism with their dreamy shimmering new tune. Quite honestly, the bliss of celestial enthralling music like this song is a form of wealth itself. In fact, it’s probably more nourishing a “wealth” than money itself. We gladly find ourselves rich on Anna of the North, with more prosperity to come in the form of Lovers, which arrives on September 8th. Pre-order, here.

A tidal wave of rich cottony synthpop washes over us on Someone, a remarkable new tune from Norway’s Anna of the North. It’s the second single to be taken from the project’s highly anticipated debut album Lovers. It really doesn’t get as exuberantly lavish as it does during Someone’s opening bars. That head rush of an opening paves the way for the 80′s inspired pop dazzler to whisk us off our feet with its pastel synths, throbbing beats, and pristine sailing vocals. The band says of their luminous new song: “We think almost everyone has woken up after a big night, instantly regretting something that happened. It’s about how easy it is to break your promises when you’ve had a couple of drinks. Going deeper, the song is about accepting that you’re only human and to learn how to forgive yourself for your own mistakes and accepting that sometimes we need someone to save us from repeating any old habits.” Anna of the North’s debut album Lovers is due for worldwide release on September 8th. Pre-order, here.

The holidays may have come and past, but much of the world is still covered in icy sparkling snow. Go make yourself a cup of hot cocoa and cozy up for a magical journey to Scandinavia as Anna Of The North delights us with their new music video. Though a demo version of the Norwegian duo’s synthpop song Oslo has been enchanting us for some time now with its warm pulsing, cool twinkling beauty, Anna Of The North’s fresh visualizer and this official version of the track adds but another layer of magnetism to the experience. For a moment, I really feel like I’m watching the last light of day fade away in Oslo. Despite the chill in the air, I’ve no urge to shiver. Anna Of The North’s heartwarming music keeps the cold at bay and fills me with hope.

Oslo based duo Anna of the North is back with more of their beautiful Scandi-pop as they share their new song Us. The song is about a relationship between two people with a really strong connection. Us is an enchanting electronic pop aria much dainty and graceful, effervescent and lithe. Its airy allure evokes The Chainsmokers’ Roses, but more finespun pensive and twinkling light. The ethereal pop confection is but more ambrosial evidence of this duo’s rising star. Anna Of The North recently completed a tour with Kygo, shows with Liss, as well as a run of UK dates including The Great Escape. Hopefully they’ll make it across the ocean to North America soon. I’ll be waiting. Us is out now via Honeymoon and Different Recordings.

Scandinavian starlet Anna Of The North is simply magical on her sparkling electropop song The Dreamer. Vancouver’s Young Bombs takes charge of the tune and amplifies its ethereal wonder on a spectacular indie dance remix. The Dreamer soars, full of verve and light, on this cinematic blend of progressive pop house. Young Bombs’ remix bursts open like a bright eyed Porter Robinson and Anna Of The North collaboration. The rippling majestic tune is a free download, here.
