Enigmatic alt duo Airplane Man has given us a consistent diet of sleekly polished tunes and intriguing visuals to go along with them for the past year. Since their debut with We’re On Fire, we’ve been looking forward to each and every one of the pair’s singles. And now they’ve entered 2018 with another fine addition to their growing repertoire of distinct songs. Focus another electro charged, synth dyed alt anthem that reminds us of Miike Snow’s indietronica fused to AWOLNATION’s electro-rock, but this time around, Airplane Man goes an extra smooth route with their glossy vocals and melodic sweeping electro. Take flight with Airplane Man and their new song as we look ahead to a bright future for the creative project. It’s only a matter of time before they blow up if they continue forwards on this flight path. Focus can also be streamed via Spotify, here.

We’ve been loyal fans of Airplane Man ever since the alt duo emerged with We’re On Fire last year. We couldn’t help it. Their muggy smoldering electro-rock and bold riveting alt electronica is far too unique, creative, and catching. Though we still know very little about the pair, we do know that their latest single New Supplier is yet another gargantuan treat. Airplane Man isn’t just a new supplier of tunes, they’re paced to be a long time, trustworthy source of sonic elation. They opt for an extra synthy and crisp springy sound on this alt pop and indie dance leaning offering, even giving off major 80′s vibes in the process. How the heck these guys aren’t already a lot bigger than they are yet eludes us, as we’re sure they’re on the road to huge success. Their videos for their songs also captivate to the utmost with their DIY cinematic mosaic approach. Re-visit Airplane Man’s prior few singles, each one of them as fantastic as the last, on Soundcloud, here.

REIGN is mysterious duo Airplane Man’s third single, one I consume eagerly after having fallen hard for their prior singles Take Me All The Way Home and We’re On Fire. Their alt electronic aura tends to evoke a co-mingling of bands like Miike Snow, AWOLNATION, and MGMT in the past, and a bit of the same can be detected on epic sweeping REIGN, though this one’s by far the most dauntless driving, electronic oriented track we’ve heard yet from the band so far. REIGN is a dark winding, synthcore pulsing, electro rock bristling beast of a song, one more than well worth our continued travels through the cosmos with Airplane Man. Download the track for free, here. Re-visit their excellent first singles on Soundcloud.

It’s been a couple of months since a mysterious new duo who call themselves Airplane Man won me over instantaneously with their debut single, We’re On Fire, a zestful and exuberant burst of genre defying alternative music that calls to mind acts like MGMT, AWOLNATION, and Miike Snow. I find it criminal that the song hasn’t gone wildly viral yet, but I’m giddily excited that Airplane Man has followed the song up with yet another sterling treat, an irresistibly strutting indie dance and lush pumping alt pop number named Take Me All The Way Home. It’s only a matter of time before this duo’s hype erupts. Watch the duo’s imaginative music video for Home below, then re-visit debut song We’re On Fire below it. Take Me All The Way Home is a free download, here.

I go through a bounty of debut songs and new bands everyday, but Airplane Man is without a doubt a favorite this month. The mysterious new duo emerges with We’re On Fire, a zestful and exuberant burst of genre defying sound that evokes a long list of magnificent acts, including synthy MGMT, electro-rock AWOLNATION, and alt dance Miike Snow. Airplane Man explains that their project evolved out of a desire for a sound they could not find. Their “mission is to create psychedelic audio visual experiences to awaken the soldiers of peace within all living creatures”. Watch Airplane Man’s music video for their powerful debut below to get a taste of the visual side of their innovative equation. We’re On Fire is a free download, here.
