Greek production auteur Aero Chord is proving himself a chameleon of sorts with his recent music. After delivering that ridiculously brilliant Love & Hate EP late last year on which he melded trance with future bass, he went on to deliver an electro trap remix of Pegboard Nerds and NGHTMRE’s Superstar. Now, Aero Chord returns with Resistance, a heavy jolting, regal blaring anthem brimming with visceral trap and moombahton. Resistance is an invigorating call to arms, a stalwart and resolute eruption of will and determination. The exhilarating track is out now on Monster Cat. Though this one surfaced somewhat later in the day, I knew immediately it’s a track that must be shared right away. In fact, I knew even before I listened to it this would be tremendous. As if Superstar isn’t already a swamp of incredible talent, the Pegboard Nerds and NGHTMRE collaboration featuring Krewella as guests has been remixed by none other than brilliant Greek producer Aero Chord. Aero Chord gave me one of my favorite electronic EPs of 2016 in the form of Love & Hate. He now returns to present us with a grand sweeping electro trap take on wildly infectious Superstar. Aero Chord’s remix is dramatic and regal, a majestic and expansive adventure you can snag for free, here.

Last month, Greek electro trap producer Aero Chord presented us with one of my top electronic tracks of the year. I’ve listened to The 90s countless times, tickled each and every time by the fluid transitions between trance and future bass permeating the song. The venerated producer follows that welcome return with another tremendous track. On Wanchu Back, Aero Chord has again built a sprawling soundscape accented by sharp wiry retro synths and accompanied by prismatic shimmering, glitchy intense future chops. This “progressive-trance-step” concoction is overwhelmingly enthralling. Wanchu Back and The 90s will both be on Aero Chord’s new Love & Hate EP, due out October 14th via Monstercat. You can pre-order now on iTunes. Love & Hate might become my favorite electronic EP of the year at the rate Aero Chord is bowling me over with his new tracks.

Los Angeles based Greek electro trap producer Aero Chord makes a jaw dropping, epic gripping return on The 90s, a sprawling eruption of fine tuned future bass and trap. Atmospheric synth shimmers and percolating arpeggios make this a brilliant bridge between the 90′s and the mid 2010′s. As a raver head from back in the day, I can’t help but succumb to the magnificence of this time traveling piece. I’m not sure I’ve encountered anything that has so seamlessly fused modern dance with 90′s trance, and I’m in love. I wouldn’t mind if this prompts a brand new sub-genre of trap music. Maybe we can bust out the glow sticks and come up with some new dance moves to accommodate Aero Chord’s innovative tapestry of music, too. The 90s is available now from iTunes.
