Savage and visceral indeed is Trust Me, a sublimely hypnotic collaboration between Swedish dance producers Adrian Lux and Savage Skulls. But Trust Me is also dark and melodic. It’s a bewitching four to the floor thumper with a sliver of eeriness and an icy undercurrent in its dusky beats and its spellbinding vocals by Soul. The deep house thriller is out now on Spinnin’ Deep. Download/stream, here.

Though this one’s been floating around for nearly a month now, I only recently encountered the trap scintillation that is Jinco’s remix of Adrian Lux’s Teenage Crime. It’s far too sensational of a listen not to share, and as they say, better late than never. I’ve always found it impossible to resist Swedish producer Adrian Lux’s enchanting melody on Teenage Crime. That mellifluous beauty is taken to theatrical levels of gripping intensity by Santa Cruz based producer Jinco. It’s a Hudson Mohawke and Flume sort of concoction that he deftly offers us, a rich whomping, resplendent chopping, sharp jolting electronic opera. Download this beast of a track for free, here.

Continuing some of those end of summer, nostalgia tinged tropical vibes with this new remix of Adrian Lux’s Teenage Crimes by Canadian producer Shèmce. The deep house treat has a hefty dose of nu-disco groove and plenty of easy going cheerfulness. The rising producer isn’t just skilled at creating blissed out remixes, he’s also given us a delicious tune in the form of SVMMER (hey, if band names can go the V instead of U route, why not a song title?). SVMMER is ridiculously euphoric tune. It’s actually an instrumental rework of Shèmce’s remix of Notorious B.I.G.’s Juicy.

I’ve been a long time fan of Brooklyn indie rockers Bear Hands (though I missed their set at Outside Lands Music Festival this past weekend, my apologies). I did catch them live at Popscene recently, and they were fantastic. Off their album Distraction is Giants, one of my favorites off the release and possibly the most upbeat and danciest Bear Hands track yet. While already upbeat and vibrant, the song has received a remix treatment by popular Swedish producer Adrian Lux that raises the dance energy level and speeds up the beats even more.

Swedish producer Adrian Lux previewed his new song Sooner or Later, featuring Kaelyn Behr on guest vocals. It’s a serene, summery tune with a very smooth melody. It’s really quite addicting and blissful. The single will officially come out on March 25 off Ultra Records. It’s also the first single off his new EP Make Out, coming later this spring.

Video Voyeur Adrian Lux remix

January 6, 2012

I was nonchalantly listening to The Good Natured on Soundcloud while taking care of some things, and then I noticed I was totally digging this Adrian Lux extended remix of The Good Natured’s latest single Video Voyeur. Not a bad way to start the music morning!

And if you haven’t listened to the original, here you go. I expect this year to be pretty huge for The Good Natured.

OFFICIAL VID: Adrian Lux feat. The Good Natured – Alive

Here’s something more upbeat, dance inducing and fun as the afternoon is winding down. Alive is from Adrian Lux, but most importantly, it features The Good Natured! It’s not spectacularly genius, but it’s a great listen and perfect for when everything else just seems far too serious and heavy.

And for those that don’t know of English electropop band The Good Natured, here’s my favorite track I know from them, Skeleton, and the wonderful Grum remix below.
