Philadelphia trap, grime, and hip hop expert Baauer unites with Canadian turntablist and producer A-Trak on a surprise two track EP to go along with the big announcement of their B2B tour together. That’s right. Baauer. A-Trak. Together. The two celebrated producers meld their individual styles on Dumbo Drop, a hypnotic bass thumper that lurks in the shadows, or on a dark basement dance floor. For a funky vivacious jungle tease, dive into the other track on the EP below. Fern Gully is a lush sonic oasis, one which you won’t be able to resist shaking your booty to, all night long. Both tracks are out now on Fool’s Gold Records. Stream/purchase, here.

Though it’s pretty much impossible to surpass how epic A-Trak and Tommy Trash’s Tuna Melt was several years ago, the two producers most definitely slay on their latest collaborative effort, Lose My Mind. I know I’m losing it to the energetic pumping burst of disco electro goodness that engulfs us on the track. They call it a “feel-good satin jacket jam for our crazy times”. Dirty synths and funky beats make this a debonair slice of classic electronica. Lose My Mind will be out today on iTunes via Fool’s Gold.

Hold on to your hats as we dive deep into this next dazzling sonic treat, a remix of Bingo Players’ Cry by A-Trak and DiscoTech. If you’re wondering if you lost a marble somewhere because you already remember a wicked Cry remix that involved A-Trak, don’t fret. A-Trak did indeed team up with Phantoms on a funkalicious edit previously, but this time around he’s gone future house with DiscoTech. A-Trak wants to give us a full spectrum of Cry, and I have no reason to complain.I want to listen to A-Trak and DiscoTech’s high flying, future funky remix in a room full of trampolines, if that makes any sense. Download the track for free, here.

The absolute brilliance of Canadian electronic acts Bob Moses and A-Trak meet on a ravishing remix of quintissential Days Gone By hit Tearing Me Up. The funk is strong on this electro swinging edit, a sensational re-make that evokes C2C with a touch of Autograf future airiness. A-Trak’s Treaing Me Up leaves me aching to tear up the dance floor. This high energy thriller of a remix can also be streamed over at Spotify.

Swedish chanteuse LÉON’s soulful enchanting pop song Tired Of Talking is a gorgeous infectious gem that I’ve been loving for over a year now. Her smoky voice and the song’s infectious melody evoke Seinabo Sey and Zella Day. It’s that jewel of a tune we get to re-visit today, but draped in some new electronic threads thanks to A-Trak and Cory Enemy. They give the track a very unique remix treatment. Saxophone is an instrument we’ve become accustomed to on deep tropical house jams, but this time around it’s paired with light and airy future tropical vibes. Tired Of Talking becomes a frisky light, playful animated sonic confection both full on sexy and teasing coquettish. A-Trak and Cory Enemy’s remix is available now from iTunes.

Another sensational remix of A-Trak’s Phantogram featuring hit Parallel Lines has surfaced, and this time, its roots lie right here in the gorgeous Bay, too. San Francisco’s BLU J take us on a florescent reverie with the mysterious duo’s lithe bouncing, supple buoyant summer dance remix. The deep future house vibes are strong on this invigorating new rendition of the song, a dazzling soiree that ripples and jars in a gloriously sweeping manner. Who says vibrant can’t be meditative or rapturous can’t be ruminant? It’s a rather profound and exhilarating sort of dance party that BLU J ignites with this official re-work, which will be on the Parallel Lines remixes package out July 1st on A-Trak’s imprint Fool’s Gold. Head to iTunes to purchase the remix.
