Enigmatic 10K Islands signed trio Viigo mesmerizes on slick slinking, squishy throbbing Ex-Friends. The torrid scorching yet cool sliding new single channels JUNGLE like opulence and Jai Paul or Ben Khan like sinuous electrifying funk. Viigo frontman MJ Hancock handsomely croons about turning back time and mending a broken friendship. This slick electro soul bursts with regret, yet its buttery gloss fills me with ecstasy. Revisit Viigo’s prior songs on Soundcloud.

It’s Friday again, which means it’s new music day at 10K Islands, a label in the midst of a song a week series from which some fabulous tunes have arisen. Today’s new treasure of a tune comes from enigmatic act Viigo, who just a few weeks ago appeared on my radar with a sublime song named Move. The project’s new song, Other Lives, engulfs me once again in a barrage of dark, opulent electro R&B. As a devout fan of sleek sultry bands like Tender, Jungle, and MOTHXR, there’s no way I can resist the sensuous heat and smooth warble of Viigo’s Other Lives.

DIY pop collective 10K ISLANDS has commenced a single every Friday series, and for their latest, their showcasing a ravishing electronic track from an enigmatic new act named Viigo. Move, to make use of the obvious pun, has me moving like I’m sublimely possessed with its warbling synths and sleek groove. The song ambulates and oscillates like a dark, submarine sonic barrage of aggressive Jungle and Mothxr like richness. The wicked tune leaves me much intrigued over this new act.
