We’ve always been fond of Swedish-American folk pop duo Flora Cash and their beautifully evocative, willowy stirring music. Their debut album Nothing Lasts Forever (And It’s Fine) is a stunning listen, and they also proved to be amazing live when they opened for Raleigh Ritchie at a sold out Popscene in San Francisco last spring. So it’s only natural that we’re ecstatic that they’ve released a new song named 18 Dollars. Once again, they send tingles down our spines with their gorgeously husky and wispy vocals on the verdant track. They even tweak their dreamy, spindly sound with a hint of R&B pop a whole lot of heart-string tugging, sigh inducing sentimentality. 18 Dollars is a funereal lament, a profusive elegy for love deceased. Stream Flora Cash on Spotify, here.
