Salt Lake City four piece Small Lake City seems to have made a play on the name of their hometown for their chosen band name. Though I’m no SLC expert and don’t quite understand what the thought process is behind the skewed label, I do know that the boys’ new single Trippin On Trees is a straight shot for my heart. The synth florid indie pop and guitar pop song reminds me of early Walk The Moon and Youngblood Hawke, it has a similar warm radiance and much youthful prancing charm. The catching, heartwarming tune is the second single from Salt Lake City’s upcoming EP. You can keep up with Small Lake City on Facebook, here.
