Bear Hands breathes new life into our long time love affair with the band with new single Back Seat Driver (Spirit Guide). The Brooklyn three piece has been enthralling fans with their music for over a decade now. They make their return with their usual dynamic punchiness and a propulsive kick on their new tune, steeped in lush gyrating synths.

“The song is about free will and finding yourself doing things that you don’t feel you are in control of,” says lead singer Dylan Rau, “being drawn to something and not really knowing why.” Back Seat Driver (Spirit Guide) debuts with a music video directed by Jonathan Chu (of POP ETC). POP ETC’s Chris Chu also produced the track, as well as wrote some of the instrumentals on it. Bear Hands and POP ETC working together on a fabulous new tune? We’re loving it. Let’s hope Bear Hand’s new release isn’t a one off, and it’s a sign of much more to come this year from the indie rock outfit. Stream/download Back Seat Driver (Spirit Guide), here.
