Scottish boy-girl duo LOVE SICK has certainly stirred up a lot of excitement with their inaugural releases over the past half year. They’ve even received support from Sir Elton John himself, alongside the likes of BBC, KCRW, and more, when they scintillated us with 2017 debut single Bullet and follow-up earworm Hope last month. There’s no sign of the pair slowing down at all as they lay down some trip hop laced pop on new single What I’d Do, a confessional anthem that muses on themes of romantic disappointment and disconnection. What I’d Do is the epitome of the band’s name, a love sick electronic pop ballad of enduring desperation. Whizzing synths, sable beats, and exhilarating drops contribute to the song’s cinematic vitality. What I’d Do is a powerful entreaty with its BROODS-like dusky production and ECHOS-like potent atmospherics. LOVE SICK’s make their headlining debut at Nice N Sleazys in Glasgow on Tuesday, April 3rd, and entry is free, too! Those fortunate enough to be in the area can find out more about the show and sign up, here. Stream/purchase What I’d Do, here.
