Austin alt rock outfit Saints Of Valory should truly be named music saints after dropping as epic and sweeping a song as Painkiller and a vivid music video to accompany it, too. Godfrey from the band recalls: “I had just watched a documentary the night before about traditional Japanese Geishas and came into the studio the next day inspired to write lyrics using a Geisha as the main character, but in a reverse roll. She meets a stranger and tells him that just for one night she wants him to be her pain killer.” Far from numbing or anesthetizing is the three piece band’s gloriously panoramic, infectious gusting anthem, a taste from a new album to come.
