25 year old Brooklyn based talent Kidepo just released his beautifully haunting EP Reunion, and I find I can’t disengage from the viscous clattering magnificence of EP cut Little Soul Little City (as well as any of the rest of the EP, to be honest). Kidepo, who as previously reported is a London born Ugandan singer songwriter and producer, offers up a thoroughly heady electro soul and R&B experience on Little Soul Little City. It’s a gossamer swirling, warped entrancing hymnal that takes us on a trip deep into the recesses of our crestfallen hearts. Kidepo’s Reunion EP is a reflection of a personal sense of displacement and transience. I feel frozen in transit myself. I’m adrift and stuck in between gradients. It’s as if the flow of time has slowed to a stop, and I don’t want it to start again, to have to figure out what comes next. I just want to stay lost in Little Soul Little City. Stream Kidepo’s new EP on Soundcloud. Purchase from iTunes, here.
