The Teskey Brothers is a blues and roots band from Melbourne who’s been around since 2008. True to name, their ranks do include a couple of brothers. Their existence has evaded me until now, with the arrival of a vintage crackling, whiskey drenched lullaby named Pain And Misery. Though poignant, this melting beauty is honeyed stirring. Its sweet soulfulness draws out plenteous sighs from my body. It’s akin to the effects Leon Bridges tends to have on me, too. The single comes from The Teskey Brothers’ album, Half Mile Harvest, out on iTunes, here.
