Even if you aren’t familiar with Olivia O’Brien’s solo music, I can bet on it that you’ve obsessed over her collaboration with gnash, “i hate u i love u”. This 16 year old singer songwriter displays maturity far beyond her years, having been compared to the likes of Taylor Swift, Lorde, and Lana Del Rey all at once in the past. Plus, she was raised in one of my favorite places right outside of San Francisco, the gorgeous town of Napa, where wine flows plenteous and the view is always breathtaking. Olivia O’Brien’s new single, Find What You’re Looking For, adds additional clout to her repertoire with its dark smoldering R&B and crisp atmospheric pop. This future star in the making just might be the Bay’s next Kehlani, and I can’t be more proud of our home grown talent. Find What You’re Looking For is out now on Island Records.
