Napa happens to be one of my favorite places to visit, being quite the admirer of viticulture, delicious food, and gorgeous scenery. The city itself is now also the surprising source of some beautiful urban pop from one Olivia O’Brien, whose voice and talent you’ll most certainly recognize from her popular collaboration with gnash, “i hate u, i love u”. Oliva O’Brien is only 16, yet the singer songwriter exhibits much maturity in her clever lyricism and emotive depth. Trust Issues is some floridly hooking, electro floaty R&B pop with an abundance of snappy appeal. The single is a first peek at Olivia O’Brien’s forthcoming full length debut, to be released in 2017 on Island Records. Keep an eye on this young flowering starlet.
