Where Are You Wild Horses is the seventh track from The Raveonettes’ Rave-Sound-Of-The-Month series, which they’ve been revealing in a string of darkly fashioned lyric videos. Where Are You Wild Horses is a gentle drifter. In fact, it sees the Danish band going rather pastoral on us. They explain about the folkgazey tune: “This song is about knowing when to leave, knowing when something is not working ‘cause if you stay, it’s gonna get painful. Sometimes it’s very difficult to say goodbye, so you pray for someone to drag you away, in this case wild horses”. The Raveonettes’ song a month series will culminate in a new album. You can pledge for the CD and vinyl of the forthcoming record via their Pledge Music Campaign, something I’ve eagerly done many moons ago.
