British singer songwriter and producer Laurel’s latest song is a brandy wined alt folk bewitcher named after the gorgeous city of San Francisco. Her worn and smoky voice is the sooty seductive star of this beautiful gem, its huskiness much like an exceptional combination of Rachael Yamagata, Lana Del Rey, and Chan Marshall (of Cat Powers). San Francisco is Laurel’s second song of the year, a raw and engaging charcoal taste from the artist’s forthcoming debut album, due to arrive early next year.
