In case you didn’t know, I’m quite the fan of Welsh artist Marina and The Diamonds and her usually double edged, finely nuanced sugary pop music. While it’s hard to top off the theatrics and tragic glam of 2012 album Electra Heart, this year’s Froot is still a fantastic album full of magically saccharine pop that channels some very playful yet deep notions. Marina Diamandis released a video today for Blue, one of the most springy and infectious electronic pop songs off the album. It’s a song that teeters on the balance of veiled melancholy and sanguine peppiness.
