I caught part of Robert Delong’s set at Live 105 fest BFD just a couple days ago, and as always, the one man wonder was spectacular on stage, with his heaps and heaps of mind boggling equipment and endless cords. Having followed this man’s electronic career for a few years now, I’m absolutely thrilled that his recent single Long Way Down has lifted him to even more splendorous levels of accolade and reverence. Some very cool remixes of the song have also surfaced in the interim, and the latest edit to delight my ears is a liquid drum and bass remix by London’s Breakage, who gives the track a pensive twist with rolling percussion and a more expansively spacious approach. There’s a more solemn profoundness to Breakage’s Long Way Down, one that leaves me in a reflective, thoughtful mood.
