For a very pensive and introspective melter of a gem, listen to Look Up, from Manchester singer songwriter David O’Dowda. The slowly meandering ballad is the title track off the artist’s EP that released this past summer. Melancholic yet so opulently beautiful, Look Up is a lullaby that will have you sighing away throughout the song. It’s like a more pillowy James Vincent McMorrow with some early Bon Iver folksiness thrown in. It would be the perfect song to soundtrack a quiet stroll through a damp, lush forest.
