Last year, we learned that Minnesota quartet Step Rockets is more than capable of delighting our ears with anthemic, synthy alt pop music, thanks to their fantastic song Kisser. I’ve been a fan since. Step Rockets is back with another thrilling indie pop song, the bright and explosive Phantom Flower. It’s a jovial anthem with plenty of playful, captivating synths and punchy guitars. Step Rockets is about to go on tour in support of K.Flay on the East Coast. That’s a double billing more than worthy of stepping out for. I have an urge to revisit Kissers now, so let’s listen again below.
