UK indie pop act Glass Animals has been mesmerizing me with their unique brand of genre bending, enchanting music that at times reminds me very much of Alt-J and Troumaca. Off their Gooey EP out on April 7 is this shadowy, organic treat titled Holiest. It features Brooklyn artist Tei Shi on guest vocals, which is pretty sweet, since Tei Shi has been featured many a time recently on IHM as well. The haunting tune is likely the most seductive track I’ve heard from them yet. Revisit EP title track Gooey below as well as my favorite Glass Animals song so far and the one that really reminded me of Alt-J, Psylla.

Hey friends! Time for a quick Saturday share session. I’m still heads over heels for English singer songwriter Kyla La Grange’s amazing single Cut Your Teeth and its many superb remixes, but she’s back with a new one. The Knife is just as bewitching, though less synthy and dark. It boasts some fantastic steel drums along with her signature, beautiful vocals. It’s off her forthcoming sophomore album Cut Your Teeth out June 2, and boy it’s going to be a good one judging from these tunes so far.

Completing this block of remixes with a brand new one by Australian producer Ta-Ku. His heavy, cacophonous, intoxicating remix of Banks’ recent single Brain is dark, ominous, and powerful. It’s quite the twist on Shlohmo’s production on the original. The more I listen to it, the more I find myself really digging the electrifying track which showcases some of Ta-ku’s signature, hip hop influenced percussion.

Irish producer EMBRZ impressed many ears last fall with his amazing remix of Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You. The shadowy, syrupy, downtempo beauty was a strong statement about this producer’s abilities and potential. If you missed that stellar track, revisit it below. It’s only racked up over 400K streams on Soundcloud, that’s all. Today, EMBRZ did it again. This time, he took Manchester band The 1975’s fantastic song Settle Down and gave it endless layers of boundless texture and dreamy elements. It’s absolutely breathtaking and magical.
