Introducing: Cape Lion

Freshly discovered last night (and quite fortunately) is this Swedish duo named Cape Lion. In their year of existence or so, they have three tunes out, and every single one of them is deliciously catchy and great. Their alt leaning synthpop sound reminds me more of acts from Australia, or Brooklyn NY, maybe even the UK or Germany, so it was a surprise to find out they’re from Sweden. The quality of their songs begs to question why they haven’t received more attention so far, but it also shows how much potential they have going into the future. Brother is their latest track with delicious, CHVRCHES like stabbing synths. It follows on the heels of last year’s irresistible electropop track Jennie with its touch of Capital Cities like nu-disco and funk sheen. You Kept Dreaming was their debut song before Jennie, and it’s a bouncing, addictive synthpop track too. I’m hooked on all three. I can easily listen to them on repeat looped for hours. Watch these guys, they could really make some waves as the next year or so progresses!
