Geographer on Noise Coalition Live Sessions

Here’s a great live recording of San Francisco indie band Geographer performing Lover’s Game in a studio for Noise Coalition Live Sessions. The song is undeniably the most dance-y and catchy tune off of recent album Myth, though I personally like other tracks on the album more. As great of a tune as this is, it’s not as groundbreaking as some of their other songs where the electric cello takes a stronger role and Michael Deni’s voice soars over a greater range. I still like it, but it sounds like many other synthpop bands’ tunes. Still, I really enjoyed watching them perform it live in this video, and it’s great to see Michael Deni’s eyes. I feel like I’ve only seen him in sunglasses for months, since I keep catching them at daytime music fests!
